There are a number of websites that help you search for upcoming auctions on subjects of interest.

One is http://www.auction-search.net/ (information on collectibles) and another is Invaluable i-find ( http://www.thesaurus.co.uk/) . The latter service allows you to conduct your own online searches of the Invaluable database (containing lots coming up for sale at traditional live auctions). You can search from the home page and throughout the site where you see the i-find logo. You enter into the i-find box those word(s) relating to the objects you are searching for and click 'i-find'. The database will return only those auction lots that contain the word(s) you listed. A modest charge is made, which you will recover on the first treasure you discover in this way.
